uFoscam: 2-way Audio & AV Record App Reviews

It sometimes crashes, but is the best app I’ve found for viewing multiple Foscam feeds at the same time.

Just downloaded and configured and I don’t normally right reviews, but this app stood out! I have 3 cameras connected and they all freeze. I literally only have a picture of what the room looks like. Don’t waste your money like I just did. You should be able to get a refund for buying such crap.

My Foscam F198821W will not work with this software. I cant contact Ufoscam for support No email or nothing to contact them? Don’t buy waste of money. trying to get refund.

Takes over 30 seconds to start. The old version was much faster.

I think it was after an update it just wouldn’t work. all I would get was a spinning beach ball. but, on June 17 after an update to Version 2.1.0 everything works again. I have to give it 5 stars because it totally works and may possibly be faster than usual too. could be my imagination but pictures look clearer too. thanks for the update, UBNTEK! I use this program all the time. It just works, even with my off brand cheap chinese import cameras. I also had the programmer write an additional driver to support one of the cameras that didn’t work right out of the box.

The update to the update certainly made this better for me. Thank you for fixing the long loading time.

Our son-in-law installed 3 camera’s so far. Two outisde and one inside. One more is going to be installed outside. My husband is recovering from a stroke so being able to be in my office I can still see that he is okay while I am not in the room. Having them outside is wonderful as well. Knowing we can feel safer is a huge plus. I am still getting use to a few small things, but overall I love them. Thanks

I have been using this app for about a year now. I am very happy with it. As with any thype of camera application, the connectivity depends on the internet and the camera connected. I am very happy with the way the app works, the interface and almost everything. Every update makes the app better which is great. The only problem is bulk management on recording data of multiple cameras. It needs a little work, but this app is superb! Recommended from a guy who wasted a lot of money on WiFi cam apps and finally found a good one.

I like how it’s easy to use. One major compant I have is that you can only export in .mov which is not support in Mac OS Yosemite. I do not see any way I can change it easely to a compatible file.

I’ve been using this app for a couple years on my MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad. This is, in my experience, the best, most flexible Foscam and Foscam-compatible application anywhere. It works fine with my Foscams, EasyN, WansView, and similar cameras. Thanks for the excellent design and hard work to create and maintain this excellent application!

Works very well - I dropped it by one star as sometimes it won’t pan (but usually does) and the sound is not very good (not sure if that is a camera problem or app problem). However, overall I am satisfied and recommend the app.

This app does exactly what it says with very high quality

I use and rely upon uFoscam for my Mac and Foscam cameras. Nothing is better in the Macintosh - Apple iOS environment. Low cost and high quality! I use both the iOS version for iPhone and iPad and the Macintosh OSX version, which are compatible of course. There are only a few superficial problems, like occasional blinking of bottom lines on HD camera videos, but these are harmless and do not bother me. And I expect uFoscam to correct this minor problem in future updates.

My cameras work fine on Safari web browser but transfer the exact same coordinates to the app and I just get “network error (105)” and nothing else. Doesn’t matter what I do or which settings I change, always the same result. There’s no support or help non the support page either. :-(

I bought their newest 1080p camera and it won’t work with this application until they update the software. For now I have to use the web interface.

Simply Awesome!

Does not function with my Foscam C1 which is listed as supported. Gives nothing but network errors. There is no wizard or setup at all — simply manual plugging in of poorly documented numbers to setup the camera. Other apps can see my C1 just fine however this program simply outputs network errors. No support what so ever — the support link just goes to their website which is worthless and just says to contact them via email on the app store. Well, there isn’t one. So you cannot. As far as I can tell most of the reviews must be from the app developer themselves. This is a scam app. Already requested refund from Apple. Highly recommend avoiding.

If you’re looking for an application to crash on startup, look no further! I entered the information about one of my Foscam cameras, clicked ok. It crashed. Every attempt to restart crashes. I guess I’ll have to keep my old Windows box around a little longer to support my video cameras.

I’ve come back to this application every couple months to see if there are any updates or if they figured out how to keep it working. It will work for a few minutes and then I get error codes, over and over again. Camera’s they have listed as compatible flat out don’t work. I have 4 different Mac computers I’ve tried this on. 27” iMac, Mac Mini, Macbook Air and Macbook Pro. They all do the same thing. I like to think I’m very knowledgeable in the computer field, it was part of my career at one point. I contacted the creators of this app in the past and even gave them access to my cameras by creating username and passwords for them. They encountered the same errors and ultimately said they couldn’t do anything to fix it. But yet, they still put out a product that they charge money for, knowing it’s not going to work. I truly believe a large portion of the positive reviews have to be associated with the app creator to drive up sales. Don’t waste your money. This app doesn’t work. It crashes constantly and it will do nothing but waste your time and drive you crazy. I’m a real user, and I’m telling you the absolute truth.
