uFoscam: 2-way Audio & AV Record App Reviews

Hi I am very disappointed I have bought this app because I have a Macbook pro, a Foscam, and there is only app for windows I don’t work at all (I have check the settings and data 1000 times) And we don’t understand what’s happen next to a click?!? Moreover, the Chinese customer care is very low, almost missing… Don’t buy it WTF

This app don’t deliver - can’t detect motion, can’t record and 10 frames/second in 2016 is pathetic. The Foscam camera can show full 30f/s through the browser.

It’s a shame I couldn’t find one that did multiple brands, but since I have all foscam cameras anyway, this very much fits the bill. It works well, it’s reasonably priced, and I have no issues controlling any of my cameras.

Just cannot get it to work. I can access my cameras via the Foscam app on my iPhone, through Mobilinc, or Safari on my iMac. This will not work at all with the same settings. All you get is bizarre error messages that the developer does not even mention on their worthless 3 page dinky website.

It doesn’t let you choose the destination path for saving videos, so you can only write in your main hard drive. That’s a terrible limitation if you want to always keep a camera recording. However, the main let down is that it will not last a day running without crashing, and that makes it unusable for recording.

App is freeze and/or crash after working for less than 5 minutes Recording option not working at all!! Did not update since 12-2015

just paid $6.99, looking for update that does not mess up the finder on all of my computers(4)!!!!!!!

Terrible Software!! A total ripoff - Apple App store should remove this thing - AVOID!!

I have tried many camera viewing and control apps on multiple platforms, this one is stable, works with a large number of Foscam cameras. The motion control recording can be a bit sensitive at times, but I think that may be the cameras rather than the software.

Problem 1: App will run for a day or two then quit. It generates a long error report that means nothing to the user. Problem 2: At first this app will run just fine but after a minute or so of poking around the menus the menues and selections fail to stay visable, they just blink out. Then there is nothing you can do but force quit the app. Problem 3: The lack of control for where to put the recordings is really disappointing. It is extremely important for the user to be able to aim the recordings where they want them. Ifthis app workesd right it would be the ultimate recorder for your cameras. But right now, no.

Many functions are disabled, no sound, only 4 movements. I want my money back.

Very bad app, doesn`t have all camera models, doen`t work properly, doesn`t connect to cameras. Don`t spend your money.

Installed this app and configured my 6 foscam cameras. All functions seem to work well however, I often get an "Image Error" black screen whenever I change camera layouts or flip to the next page to see the other cameras. I would have to quit and restart the app, very annoying! I wish they would add the option to customize your layout or remove extra blank camera boxes so that you can maximize your camera display. Until they fix these couple things I would re-rate the app.

there email support does not work, the app prevent the mac from going to sleep and other password protected apps from locking up after a the preset time.

I have foscam 9805, after initial configuration it was working for couple of hours, after that it lost input from camera (the screen is black), even though the camera still works fine with different clients. View quaility is really bad, despite camera is set to 920P. Save your money and look somwhere else.

Too slow the speed movements either on Local WIFI connection. The delay is approximately 10 seconds from live video.

I really love uFoscam and use it all the time on my desktop and mobile. My only request would be to enable listening to multiple cameras at the same time for both Mac and iOS apps. Other than that, it works great and I would definitely suggest it.

This app looks great, but has major stability issues. For starters, it’s not very user friendly for new users, but that’s easy to overcome. The features of the app do work as they should, but that’s not the problem. The problem is, app crashes regularly. I’ve had the app for a week now and I’ve yet to be able to record throughout the night. The longest so far was for only about 4 hours without crashing. On average, it crashes every couple hours. I’ve tried contacting ufoscam about the issue. Only option I found was by email. I emailed them a few days ago, still no response. I’m not sure if it’s something with the camera or the software, but it keeps crashing so I’m returning my Foscam cameras. Also, I’ve noticed that foscam.us doesn’t display ufoscam as a trusted app. They display quite a few other apps but not this one. I have no experience with those other softwares, but maybe Foscam is better with them, I don’t know. After my experience with ufoscam, I just want my money back and try a different surveillance option all together. If I can’t trust the software to stay running without crashing, what’s the point in having a surveillance system.

I’ve used a few other apps to view my various foscam cameras in 1 place and this 1 does the trick. I was worried after I bought a HD camera and the app I had been using would not work at all with it. Well it has not been updated in over a year! So, I would say look for an app where they actually take the time to keep the drivers updated like this one. What can I say, I start the app and it works! I can move, set the contrast, turn led’s off and on. Good views, you can bring 1 camera to the left and keep it large while you have the others around it. Bottom line - works great!
